Manual Mill Machinist - Setup and Operator
We are seeking an experienced, skilled and detail-oriented Manual Mill Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will require knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, engineering drawings, material properties, layout and machining procedures to operate machine tools accurately, safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate mills and lathes -DeVlieg, Cincinnati, Kearney & Trecker and Bridgeport
- Operate, load/unload material, indicate vises/fixtures, and deburr
- Inspect and verify conformance to specifications
- Manual grinder operation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with DeVlieg, Cincinnati, Kearney & Trecker and Bridgeport
- Able to work in a fast-paced constantly changing environment with tight deadlines and occasional long hours
- Setting up fixtures, tooling, vises, and clamps
- Operates machines running complex and high tolerance components
- Follows all safety and work rules and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
